HANA LOST HER 1ST TOOTH

On Monday November 28 , 2012, Hana lost her first tooth. Hana's bottom middle left tooth (looking at her) has been wiggling for a while. It was just a matter of time. She ended up losing it at school. I really wish it happened at home so we could be a part of it.
I think she was glad it happened at school because she was able to go to the nurses office and get a treasure box to put it in.
That night she carefully put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy to get.

It is kind of bittersweet because it means she is growing up.

FIRST 9 WEEKS OF KINDER AND 2ND GRADE

The kids survived their 1st nine weeks of school. Hana Kindergarten and Ricky 2nd. The kids really enjoy going to school and Hana even says she likes Kindergarten. Which we were a little worried because she was jumping into a 5 day a week schedule from 2-3 days. They both love their teachers and have made great friends.
Hana:
Hana made it through her 9 weeks with only 3 incidents. 1. She asked a boy to stab her with a pencil right after the teacher said not to. 2. On the dome monkey bars there was a girl sitting at the top and Hana wanted her spot so she just decided to push her down. She did feel remorseful after she realized what she had done and cried. 3. She bent a boys finger back.

Her conference was good. Ricky went. Hana tries to be done 1st and not do her best. She treats work like a race. Also, she tries to be mother hen of her table and if things don't go her way than she loses it. Of course we are all working on helping her understand.

Report card:
S+ ( which hers were an 89 --- grrrrrr) Reading and Language
E Math, Technology Apps, Art, Theater Arts, Music, P.E., Health
E+ Science, Social Studies
In her math assessment she scored a 93.

Her troubles this 9 weeks was Rhyming and issues with paying attention/listening at times.

Ricky:
Ricky received good conduct every day this 9 weeks.

Report Card:
Reading, Language Composition and L/A Composition: 100
Math: 95
Science and Social Studies: 97
Only S: Music Conduct and Art.

We are very proud of both kiddos for their good reports. They are both amazing kiddos, and we are super blessed to have such great kids.

HALLOWEEN 2012

Happy Halloween!!! We love Halloween around our house. The kids enjoy dressing up and trick or treating. This year they had some friends go with them. Our neighborhood was definitely generous with candy. Hana was Jasmine and Ricky was Justin Bieber. Although, he was on strike and refused to sing.

HAPPY 43RD BIRTHDAY!!

Not only do we get to celebrate Halloween, but we also get to celebrate an important man turning 43 this year. Happy birthday to Ricky. For his birthday this year we went to the Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean concert. It really worked out because I'm a Luke Bryan fan and Ricky is a Jason Aldean fan. It was the first cold front of the season so it was a little chilly. The concert was really good, except for the one glitch of eating a hamburger there. Ricky was sick all the next day.
Ricky kind of gets the raw deal on his birthday, because the kids go tick or treating. But we did celebrate by Ricky blowing out a candle in a ding dong. One of his favorite desserts. The kids gave him a card and gift certificate for a 1 hour massage.
I love you babe!! Looking forward to seeing what 43 holds for you.

Having a great time at the concert

CUB SCOUTS

This year little Ricky joined cub scouts. Big Ricky volunteered to be the assistant den leader. They have been in it since September and are loving it. The beginning is a little over whelming with being hit with a ton of meetings all at once. Especially for big Ricky because he is assistant den leader. Ricky is taking his role seriously and is learning all his pledges and can recite them with great confidence. He is very excited and proud to wear his uniform.
A few of the neat things they have done are: they built a sail boat and had to race it in water, by blowing it. Ricky's 1st try didn't go so well. Poor guy was so nervous and tried to go super fast. The second time he won. He calmed down and didn't blow as hard. A lot of the boats were falling and I must say there was a little cheating going on.
The boys just had their 1st cub scout camping trip in Conroe at Camp Strake. Saturday to Sunday. They had a blast! Food was provided and they ate quite well I must say. They did archery, built a rocket and shot BB guns. Now little Ricky really wants a BB gun. Dad promised him if he gets good grades he will get him one. Oh boy!! In November they go on a 2 day one. Little Ricky is already counting the days.
Hana and I had a little girl time. I took her out to dinner. She could pick anywhere she wanted to go ( as long as it was not fast food). She picked a chinese buffet. I tried so hard to talk her out of it, but no, and to top it off she only had 2 pieces of chicken, spring roll and a few bites of noodles, grrrr. After that I took her to Chuckee Cheese. She had a fun night. Than we got to snuggle in bed an watch her favorite show, Sponge Bob.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 2012/2013 SCHOOL YEAR

After an amazing summer it was time to go back to school!!
Ricky is entering the 2nd grade. He has Ms. Scotts for his teacher. Ricky weighs 64lb and is _____ tall.
He had a great 1st day of school and loves his teacher.
Hana, my little baby girl entered kindergarten this year. I can't believe it. She was just a little baby girl. She has co teachers Ms. Sealy and Ms. Bratner. Hana loves them and they seem really sweet and warm. Her first day So her desk and sat down and started coloring. Not really paying much attention to me. She was even chosen to be queen for the day.
The second day we had a little set back. I think the morning got a little confusing for her and she cried when she was walked to her room. It broke my heart leaving her there crying as I had to walk away. The teacher was not in the room yet, but I know she is a big girl and I had to leave. When I picked her up she had a great day. Hana weighs 42.5lb and she is _______ tall.

Excited to be going to school.

His "looking cool" pose.

Hana is ready to get the day started
