This fall Ricky played baseball with the Tomball league. It was definitely different from the YMCA. This league seemed a little more authentic, I guess because they actually played on a baseball field. Ricky definitely had a challenging season. Not because he wasn't good, but because he didn't care. He had no desire to be out on the field, even though it was his choice to play. He did spend a lot of the time dancing :(. When he did put effort into his games he was good. In this league they pitch the ball 3 times to the batter before they get the t-ball stand out. Ricky had some pretty good hits, he also had some pretty good throws and runs.
Towards the end of the season I told him I would stop taking him, which now he begged to go play. So I'm confused!! Does he or doesn't he want to play?!?!
I know i'm not signing him up next season, unless he really wants to and asks for it. If not now, maybe he will have the desire when he's older. As big Ricky says "it doesn't matter how good he's at it, if he doesn't love it, he'll never put the effort into it."
After the holidays I'm going to try Martial arts and/or dance/theater.
