North Padre Island Trip - Take 2!

Before school started back up, I decided to take the kids to visit their grandparents one last time. Once Ricky starts kindergarten, I'm not sure when we'll get another chance. This trip was a little more successful in views of the water. Our first morning there the ocean surface was flat! SCORE!!! I was so excited. Ricky and I were high fiving. Towards the end of our trip the waves picked up but nothing to bad. It was a great trip. The kids love going to see their grandparents.

First Church Sleepover and Rollerskating

Last Friday lil Ricky had his first Church sleepover at True Vine Fellowship. He had so much fun!! It is the church of big Ricky's good friend so we knew a lot of the people chaperoning. Ricky was so excited to go and can't wait to go back next year.
Since we only had Hana we met some friends at the roller skating rink and had some fun. I roller bladed and  Hana and big Ricky roller skated. Hana wasn't too thrilled during the 1st round but wanted to go back out and enjoyed the 2nd round. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back with lil Ricky.

Zebras, Ostriches and Giraffes Oh My

We had a great family day last Sunday. Thanks to the entertainment book (which by the way has saved me so much $$$$) I discovered the Bayou Wildlife Safari in Alvin Tx. We had so much fun taking the kids through there and having the animals come up to us. I do have to say the Ostrich and Emu were non bashful. They had no problem chasing you down for what they wanted. And believe me you gave it to them. Especially since we were told that ostriches can run 42 mph!!. A fun experience. After we took the kids to Kemah for dinner and to play. Lil Ricky wanted to play carnival games because he was convinced if he played he would get a prize. The 1st game he played consisted of throwing balls onto a platform with holes and some were colored. If you made it into it you won a prize. Sounds easy right? It's all about luck. Since Ricky is lucky he won a prize on his first round - Yay!! He picked a smurf. Hana tried 2 times but just couldn't land on a color one. You get 3 balls per round. We moved on and played another game where daddy was her hero and was able to get sponge bob. It was a great family day!!

Supposedly there is a huge Alligator in there. All we saw was the chicken.

North Padre Island Trip

I took the kids to visit their grandparents the last week of July. For an entire week! Ok 5 days  = ).
It was a great trip. Only thing the beach was a little rough. Maybe we'll go back one more time before school starts back up.

                                                    Collecting seashells on the beach.
