A FEW PICTURES OF THE KIDS

We did a photo session with the kids. Due to the sun, the intense heat and it being to late in the evening for Hana it wasn't as successful as we wanted it to. We did get some good pictures of the kids though.

Hana's 1st day of 3 Year Old Pre K

Hana started 3 year old Pre K today. She was super excited to finally be going back to school. There will be no naps this year so she gets a full day of school. I'm sure she's loving that. This year Hana's class is the Jungle Friends. The perfect name for her (monkey). She has her best friend, Addison in class this year again. I'm sure this helps a lot in drop offs and wanting to go to school.
On Hana's 1st day we woke up early because we had to have Ricky at school by 8:15 and Hana at 9. I let Hana pick her clothes out. She did a great job!! You never know what your going to get with her. We had a talk about being nice to her teachers and not hitting her friends. Not that she hits her friends, but sometimes she hits her brother and she had 1 incident last year. We had a whole hour before we needed to leave to drop her off. So for the hour all she asked if it's time yet? Finally the time came. When it got time to drop her off she didn't cry but got a little reserved. It got all better when daddy played play doh with her for a bit. We were able to leave with no incident.
When I picked her up she had such a great day. She loves school and spending time with Addison and all the other kids who she will get to know. She also told me that "she was nice to her teacher and didn't hit any of her friends". YAY!!

Hana,
My sweet little girl. How can you already be 3? Thank you for all of the times you have made me laugh and all of the happiness you give me. You are a very spirited child. You are so smart and have so much talent. You do what what you want and when you want. You go by your own rules. That is what I love most about you.
I love you to the moon and back + infinite.

Little Ricky and Kindergarten.

The day I thought was so far away when I brought my little helpless baby boy home came on August 23, 2010. Lil Ricky started his first day of Kindergarten. First I must say I can't believe how fast this day has come. Didn't I just bring him home, wasn't he just learning how to walk and talk? Didn't I just drop him off at MDO? WOW he's actually in Kindergarten.
Saturday before school started we had meet the teacher day. I was a little nervous because you never know who you're going to get. I truly believe that the teacher is the #1 important factor in a school year. He got Mrs Narmum and I couldn't be happier. She made such a great first impression. She is very personable and has been teaching Kinder in the Klein district for some time.

Monday morning we got up early and as a family walked him to his class. He was ready and excited to go. The whole day I couldn't wait to pick him up. He LOVED Kinder. He had such an exciting day. We're on his 4th day and he's still extremely excited and making new friends.

He's going to have such an amazing year.

       Stacy, Ricky's Godmother had lunch with Ricky on the 3rd day of school. He was super excited!!!!

Lil Ricky,
I can't believe how fast you have grown. You're such an amazing little boy. I know you will do great in Kindergarten. You have everything it takes to succeed. You are extremely smart and talented in so many ways. With your funny and kind personality you will win so many hearts over and make great friends.

North Padre Island Trip - Take 2!

Before school started back up, I decided to take the kids to visit their grandparents one last time. Once Ricky starts kindergarten, I'm not sure when we'll get another chance. This trip was a little more successful in views of the water. Our first morning there the ocean surface was flat! SCORE!!! I was so excited. Ricky and I were high fiving. Towards the end of our trip the waves picked up but nothing to bad. It was a great trip. The kids love going to see their grandparents.
