PUERTO RICO!!!

This year we had a chance to visit Puerto Rico, Rincon for our summer vacation. We were so excited. We were going with a group of people including my sisters family. Which I was really excited about. It was our 1st time to do a vacation together and I got to see Liam daily. Our flight departed super early Sat morning. I tried to feed the fish before we left, but he was asleep. No joke. On the way there we had a 40 minute flight change. Vincent did good on both flights. He slept a good portion of them. When we landed we went straight to get our rental car ( the rental car process is amazing. Super fast) and headed the 2.5 hour drive west. You would not believe how many fried chicken places and Burger Kings and Wendys are on the island. Nuts!. We finally made it. The place was beautiful. The house was steps from the water. Rincon is known for their surfing, but June starts the off season. The water was super calm everyday. It was crystal clear and we were lucky enough that not to far was a rock formation that served as a huge reef. It was perfect for snorkeling. I spent most my days in the water. It was pure paradise. One night we did a Bio Bay excursion. Where you jump in the water with the plankton and they glow. It was really neat to see. Since it had to be done in pitch black it was a little dangerous having the kids out there. The currents were pretty strong so I had to make sure my kids were near me the whole time. There are only 13 Bio Bays in the world.  Another day Ricky took the kids to ride a banana boat. They really enjoyed that. Of course, the driver made them all fall at 1 point.
One of the best parts of the trip was that I did not have to cook or worry about meals. Eileens mom who is Puerto Rican made authentic food most nights. Definitely better than I would be able to get at any restaurant.
Every afternoon Ricky would get Vincent to nap in his arms and lay him down on a chair right in front of the beach. He slept for hours. The breeze and the sound of the water could put anyone to sleep.
The pictures pretty much sum up what our days were like. Almost all of them were relaxing and spending them by or in the water.
Puerto Rico was great!!

Enjoying the freedom before we get on the plane.

Having a great time snorkeling.

He fell asleep

That's how close the snorkeling was

Getting ready for our Bio tour.

Really doesn't do it justice. The lights are the plankton lighting up.

There was a bar walking distance from our house. Nice walk along the beach. It was part of a hotel. The kids had Virgin Pina Coladas.
