HAPPY 34TH BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

I had an incredible birthday this year. I decided I didn't really want to celebrate  by going out to eat or dancing. I just wanted to spend my birthday low key and with the people that are the most important in my life.
I was very surprised because I got some amazing bonuses on top of spending time with my family. My incredible husband spoiled me with a Rolex watch. I knew I would get it some time in my life, just not so soon. I have no idea how he managed it. I know for years it has been a running joke bc I wanted a Cartier right before we got married. We picked one out and than I backed out bc I didn't want him to spend the money. So it's always been the watch that got away. About 2 years ago I changed my mind from a Cartier to Rolex. Not even seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as to when I was going to get it. It's nice to pretend. So on my gift lists I always throw in a two tone Rolex (which I never thought I would have  a two tone since the gold drives it way up). So in the morning when Ricky handed me a bag ( I didn't even have my glasses on yet) obviously the 1st sarcastic words that came out of my mouth were "so what is it a Rolex?" The whole time thinking there is no way it's a Rolex and did he not get my list of workout shoes and a kindle, so why am I getting some jewelry I didn't even ask for? I opened the box and had to blink a million times for my eyes to adjust and to make sure it didn't say "folex" or "rotex" so Ricky asked if I needed my glasses. Um Yes!! It's beautiful and I'm extremely in shock and awwwww. If love was measured by Hana's standards that who ever gets her the most things loves her the most I would say I am extremely loved.
The next day Marco and Vlady came over for my birthday dinner. It was a yummy orange marmalade chicken dish followed by a tres leche cake. They surprised me with a Kindle touch. Yay!! I'm so excited. Now I won't have to fight for little Ricky's when I read.
It has been an amazing birthday. It was not amazing do to the gifts it was amazing because I was able to spend it with my family and nothing could beat my kids telling me happy birthday and giving me a huge hug.

Making my birthday wish. I'm not sure what more I could ask for since I already have exactly what I wanted in life. An amazing husband and beautiful healthy children.

Always being goofy.

4TH OF JULY!!!

Thank you to the service men/women of our country for protecting us and our freedom. Also, thank you to the family that supports you. Because of you we have the freedoms we have today. Thank you for your sacrifices so we can have it. I know it's not with out a price.

We had a great 4th of July. Ricky had the day off. It was a relaxing day but it was amazing because we got to celebrate our freedom with the people we love most. We went to the pool for a couple hours, came home and grilled burgers, went to Tomball for their festivities and watched fireworks. The Tomball fireworks were very impressive. They definitely put on a good show.

Her silly pic

Ricky's cool/silly pic

She was having a hard time with the hula hoops, but she's really good at looking pretty.

Lil Ricky took this pic when no one was ready except Hana.

I think I'm going to have Hana's shirt for dinner. Yum!!

Hana made a few friends (just a side note: I made her patriotic bow)

Waiting for the fireworks!!

A GREAT WEEKEND!!

My sister wanted to take the kids for the weekend. The kids have never been away for the weekend unless Ricky and I had something planned. We had nothing!!! I have to say it was an amazing weekend. Ricky and I were able to reconnect and recharge. On Sat we went out to eat at PF Changs and then dancing at Whiskey River.  We got to sleep in and lounge around on Sunday. We had a late lunch at Locetellis Pizza. So yummy!! Before we had kids we were very spontaneous. So we decided to go to Surfside and go fishing. We got there after 4pm. We really never fished. We walked the beach and then decided to go to Galveston. We walked the beach, had dinner at a restaurant over looking the beach and stayed for entertainment at the Rainforest Cafe. It was so much fun!! I'm really glad we got this time. I fell in love even more with my husband. So good to know that we can still have fun together and be spontaneous. It was such a great weekend!!
It's funny because Ricky kept on suggesting these crazy but super fun ideas. New Orleans for the day. Which we would have done but we weren't sure about lil Ricky's breathing. Taking a red eye to Las Vegas. Which we researched, but decided spending $800 on a plane ticket for one day was not a smart move.
I know we had just as much fun in Galveston and enjoyed each others company just as much.

This boat came in from Africa. It was really neat seeing the tug boats getting ready for it and steering it in the right direction.
Galveston in front of Pleasure Pier.

We like to eat at Tortuca right across the beach. It's really good food, inexpensive, great service and amazing location.
Watching the entertainment in front of the Rainforest Cafe

The "Blues Brothers"

Michael Jackson

It is very quiet with out the kids and I did start missing them. They had a great time with Teta and Uncle Marco. They saw Brave, went to Tutti Frutti, made crafts etc.....
Oh, I am not sure what kids my sister had because I texted her to see how they were doing and she texted back " This morning I woke up at 8 and their bed was already made with even the sheet corners tucked in, they were dressed and quietly watching tv in the office."

SOAP

I am writing this post because I want to remember this moment and laugh at it one day. Also for Hana to look back at it and realize what a strong willed and silly little girl she was.
She talked back to an adult. I was not there but the lady brought Hana to me and asked if this was my daughter (that is never a good thing!!). As I looked down I admitted she was. I wonder if I could of got away with "no" and just walked away?? Hmmmm, maybe next time I'll try that. She proceeded to tell me that she is cutting in line for the water slide and is horsing around with her friend and they almost fell from the top. Then Hana told the lady "your not the boss of me". Obviously I made her sit out and I would deal with it at home. Well a few friends told me that soap in the mouth works. I'm thinking great idea!!! She will never talk back again because she will remember the taste. Well, the way home she was telling me that it's going to be just like Clumsy from the Smurfs movie. When we got home she was very excited and even got the soap. I'm thinking she won't be happy for long. I put a some on her tongue and made her close her mouth to get the full taste. IT DID NOT EFFECT HER AT ALL!!! Today which is days later. After she took a shower she came up to me and said she put soap on her tongue and washed it out.

That's my crazy girl! You just have to love her!!!
